The CCA is as simple as it gets when adding a 4-6-8 tacho to a COP or DIS ignition system. COP and DIS systems all have one thing in common – all COP's act like a one cylinder engine, and all 2-coil DIS packs act like a two cylinder. The CCA takes advantage of that by simply multiplying the signal, accelerating the COP signal into a 4-cylinder pulse train and the DIS into an 8-cylinder. There's zero configuration, just set the new tacho to match and you're done! Better still, the CCA has software filtering optimized for the slow firing and lengthy “coil ring” of COP and DIS coils, so no external filter is ever needed. It uses the same trusty high- and low-voltage input circuits as our bestselling BTA Universal Converter, so hooking up 2-wire or 3-wire COP systems is as simple as using the right input pin.
