Everything automotive is voltage. So tell me, what voltage means the engine is hot? That's what this device is good for. It's a 1/4” ring which mounts anyplace there's a screw or stud, has a built-in bias resistor for fuss-free wiring, and comes with an easy temperature-to-percent chart that makes zeroing in on any engine temperature as easy as hitting the "times" key on your smartphone calculator. Most automotive applications work NTC (voltage falls as temperature rises), but if PTC/NTC matters, it can be wired either way. It can run on any regulated voltage from 3~12V, or if you don't have anything regulated, it interfaces in a snap to our inexpensive CTAS Sensor Supply.
